Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and assess risk to maximize profitability
- Understand and execute strategies
- Continuously manage book of business
- Develop and leverage productive broker/client relationships
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues in other departments (Risk Control, Claims, Actuarial)
- Effectively develop and execute sales plans
- Actively seek out training opportunities to further develop industry expertise
Qualifications:
- B.Comm. with specialization in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- 3+ years of experience as a Surety Underwriter or as a Commercial Credit Analyst in a financial institution
- Strong sales management skills
- Advanced analytical and financial analysis skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Exceptional relationship building skills
