Responsibilities:
- Manage risk through accurate analysis, diagnosis and the development of sound specifications
- Design and deliver underwriting products
- Build effective relationships with insureds and brokers
- Manage broker performance, new appointments and cancellations
- Develop new business through marketing initiatives
Qualifications:
- University or College Grad
- CIP /FCIP
- 7+ years of commercial property/casualty underwriting experience
- Experience connecting personal results to the management of loss ratios, gross written and earned premium
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Sound technical judgment
- Well-organized
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation & marketing skills
- Highly motivated
