Full-Time Senior broker
Job Description
Reporting to the CCIO, this position is responsible for all functions relating to the broking and placement of new and renewal commercial insurance accounts while working closely with Account Executives, Account Managers and Insurers.
Responsibilities:
– Provide accurate and timely quotation terms and conditions for Account Executives to increase and retain client sales.
– Effectively build new contacts and maintain current relationships with Insurers to properly place business.
– Provide expert technical insurance advice to Account Executives, Account Managers, and IBU staff in order to increase sales.
– Prepare and analyze reports in order to provide accurate and relevant broking business intelligence.
Qualifications:
– Post-secondary diploma/degree; preference in business/insurance
– RIBO licensed
– 5+ years’ experience in commercial marketing/underwriting/broking role within a brokerage
– 7+ years in the insurance industry
– Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel
