- A bright student with a diploma from an insurance course.
- Someone recently licensed with no experience
- Someone with receptionist experience with no insurance experience at all
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls, determines nature of business, transfers calls, and/or takes messages as needed.
- Greet clients, new employees, vendors, etc., ascertains nature of visit, and directs them to the appropriate individuals.
- Prepare memos, labels, letters, reports and other correspondence as needed.
- Open and route incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail daily.
- Coordinate daily use of conference rooms.
- Complete various administrative duties including copying, filling, scanning and faxing as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies
- High School diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- Six months experience answering multi-line phone preferred.
- Word processing or data entry training and/or experience preferred.

- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization and with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Capability to effectively handle multiple tasks, details, and interruptions.
- Able to maintain a high degree of tact, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Ability to operate a switchboard, typewriter, computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, scanner and other office equipment.
- Normal office environment.
- No unusual physical demands.
