Full-Time Quality Assurance Reader/Specialist (Medical reports)
Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will possess experience in Accident Benefits or training in the area of medical and rehabilitation, is familiar with the Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule (SABS) and have experience with Catastrophic Impairment. The candidate must exhibits superior organizational, English and computer skills. As part of the Quality Assurance team, the candidate is responsible for ensuring our product is professional, objective, and free from bias. The QA Team consists of Regulated Health Practitioners, Health Professionals, former insurance adjusters and administrative support members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years related experience; or post secondary education with Clinical and/or Rehabilitation background preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of the insurance industry preferably Accident Benefits claims, no-fault, liability, and disability is desired. Knowledge of Catastrophic Impairment (Accident Benefits) preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Communicating with assessors both written and verbally.
- Provides overall support to the quality assurance department and ensures all timelines are met
- Assist the Assessment Coordinators in processing and preparing medical files as needed
- Utilize resources, as needed, to achieve expected goal within the required timeframe
- Assists in resolution of customer complaints and quality assurance issues as needed.
- Participate in various educational and or training activities as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
