Full-Time Property Reinspector

Job Description

The Reinspector ensures our client of  exceptional and consistent claims service experience through performing quality control assessments of staff, independent adjuster and contractor, and repair facility damage assessments for property claims.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Conduct technical analysis and re-inspection of completed repairs from estimates written by staff, independent appraisers, and contractors
  • Communicate with staff, repair facilities, estimators and adjusters on areas of improvement
  • Build positive business relationships with internal and external parties
  • Travel to loss locations and repair facilities to assess compliance with approved and recommended repair procedures
  • Meet company service standards by maintaining an active production schedule and diary system
  • Maintain vigilance in the detection and prevention of fraud
  • Prepares reports for the Claims Manager regarding the performance of claim representatives to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Remain up to date with legislative changes, trends in the insurance industry, estimating practices and developments in property repair procedures and materials
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8 + years property inspection and estimating experience
  • Professional/technical designation is required
  • Expert  knowledge of estimating software (Xactware)
  • Excellent investigative and analytical skills
  • Highly proficient time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 10 lbs on a daily basis
