Job Description
We are looking for a bilingual (French & English) Sales Broker (RIBO licence) in Ottawa. The Sales Broker is responsible for selling personal line insurance products or services through the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. Job Duties:
- Actively manage call schedule to adequately meet client expectations and company standards.
- Call prospects that are generated by external sources of lead.
- Use marketing data using applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage the efforts and activities of a sales/customer service team in alignment with sales goals and revenue objectives.
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base.
- Collaborate with Sales Supervisor to determine necessary strategic sales approaches.
- Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
- Ensure follow-up by passing leads to customer service representatives with calls-to-action, activities, complete profile information, sources, and so on.
- Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and e-mail cross-sell and up-sell.
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
- Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position.
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
Requirements:
- RIBO license.
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas.
- Attend periodic sales training where applicable.
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development, and time management.
- Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
