Full-Time Personal Lines Account Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing team! The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years’ experience working in the insurance industry and has a passion for deliving extraordinary service.

Key responsibilities:
To provide an extraordinary customer experience by offering a wide variety of insurance solutions, customer service and creating a best in class customer experience that results in retention and referrals..

Duties:

  • Provide ongoing friendly Customer Service, advising on insurance matters, assessing needs, recommending solutions, answering inquiries
  • Ensuring clients fully understand policy coverage and exclusions through clear and concise communication
  • Retaining existing clientele through extraordinary service levels, remarketing of renewals to alternate insurance companies, ensuring mono-line accounts are solicited for the other line and directed to New Business Account Managers
  • Ensure the quality of business renewed or re-written meets guidelines
  • Referral of prospects to Financial for cross sell opportunities
  • Reporting new claims and suspending follow up claims management per protocol to Claims Coordinator always showing empathy
  • Processing policy changes on company portals, suspending follow up to In House Underwriter for review and proactively communicating billing changes to clients
  • Responsible for pulling all reports, after obtaining required consents and documenting file

  • Strong understanding of insurance wordings
  • Strong Customer Service Skills including effective listening and people skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, MS Word, Excel ,Outlook, CQ, Sig, Blue Butler and company portals
  • Effective listening and people skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail imperative to eliminate any errors or omissions
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Strong ability to problem-solve difficult situations and provide solutions
  • Coachable

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in the insurance industry
  • SIG experience an asset
  • CIP or CAIB designation or working toward this designation an asset
  • RIBO licence an asset
