We are currently seeking a qualified individual for the following opportunity in our downtown Toronto office:

OPERATIONS ASSISTANT, SPECIALTY INSURANCE SOLUTIONS

The Operations Assistant will be an integral member of the National Specialty Insurance Solutions team and will have responsibility and accountability to provide a full range of operational support to the underwriting team from coast to coast. This diverse role will require someone with superior customer service and exemplary organizational capabilities.

Accountabilities

  • Set up new programs in the underwriting system
  • Timely and accurate invoicing for multiple programs
  • Close collaboration with Accounting and IT to ensure premium bordereaux are reconciled efficiently and accurately
  • Issuance of various forms of policy documentation
  • Orderly maintenance of electronic filing in the document management system
  • Maintenance of our broker contact system
  • Involved in the maintenance of policy forms, endorsement and application forms
  • Generate reports and review for accuracy for distribution
  • Manage and distribute incoming communication
  • Assist underwriters across Canada in delivering exceptional service to our clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree, Commerce or Business Administration preferred
  • Minimum 1 years of relevant work experience (Co-op, summer internship)
  • Bilingual French / English an asset
  • Insurance industry experience an asset
