NATIONAL LEAD UNDERWRITER/MANAGER – Commercial Insurance

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Commercial Team to refine national underwriting, pricing, appetite strategy
- Participate in the development of business plans
- Identify, investigate, and develop new business/expansion opportunities for assigned brokers
- Maintain corporate and regional underwriting objectives, including but not limited to rate adequacy, profit strategies, policy documentation and service standards
- Responsible for individual production of premium
- Perform marketing presentations for brokers
Qualifications:
- University degree preferred
- 8+ years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience
- Working knowledge: Property, Boiler, Inland Marine, Crime, CGL and Umbrella
- Experience underwriting Manufacturing, Business Personal Service and Contracting
- Sales/marketing experience preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and Word
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
