Primary Objectives:

Utilizing a proven entrepreneurial approach, the National Director, Reinsurance will cultivate relationships with our Assumed Client Companies and build our core business of Equipment Breakdown (EB) insurance as well as promote strategic products. The incumbent will report to the Vice-President, Reinsurance Assumed and Marketing and work from our Head Office in downtown Toronto.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead a Client Company team to successful results while maintaining a regional Client Company portfolio
• Conduct data analysis to identify and report on opportunities with vison and execution to targeted outcomes
• Liaise and build commitment with the key decision makers at Client Companies
• Develop strong internal peer relationships as a consensus builder amongst our leadership team
• Act as an organizational ambassador and demonstrate HSB BI&I’s market leadership at industry events
• Partner with contacts at HSB and Munich RE, maximizing on ideas and opportunities to continually strengthen our position within the marketplace and move product growth forwardQualifications:

• University Degree; CIP; FCIP preferred
• 10+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience
• Reinsurance Brokerage experience a definite asset
• Strong underwriting experience and knowledge of volume constraints and profit sharing
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong commitment to professionalism and highest standards of customer service
• Self-starter who is highly motivated, manages priorities efficiently and is results oriented
• Strong analytical skills supported by a high level of computer literacy
• Excellent presentation skills, supported by an strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint software

• Valid driver’s license required
