DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Commercial Lines – London
POSITION: Junior Underwriter (Commercial Lines)
Job Accountabilities:
In this position in downtown London you will assist underwriters in servicing our Commercial business for the Ontario and Eastern region. The incumbent should be an adept communicator to confidently respond to and resolve broker inquiries, and someone who is capable of making operational decisions with autonomy within your level of authority.
Qualifications Required:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage large volume of files
- Positive, professional demeanor
- Comfortable in fast paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years as an underwriting assistant / understanding of insurance is an asset.
- Possess or working towards CIP preferred
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
