Job Description

This new position within a fast moving Insurance Underwriting Co. will work closely with the IT Manager and help direct a group of DevOps programmers. The focus of this is position is on project management, system maintenance and the development of statistical reports. Our focus is on automation and the creation of web based self -service tools for use by our clients.
Responsibilities:

Knowledge of PHP, HTML/XHTML and CSS
 Proficient BASH, CRON, SAMBA)
 Advanced skills in SQL language and Oracle experience
 Understanding of Agile methodologies
 Understanding of development tools like MySQL workbench, TOAD, SQL Developer
 Experience with Source Control like GIT, Bitbucket, etc.
 Originality, creativity and ingenuity are required
 Self-starter with strong self-management skills
 Ability to prioritize and manage work effectively in a fast paced environment
 Proven ability to follow standards and guidelines
 Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

3 – 5 years managing Linux servers
 Ability to build and configure servers from the ground up, both Linux & Windows
 Experience developing and implementing information solutions using SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports and Universe, in a predominantly Oracle & MySql environment
 Strong level of technical experience with BI and data warehouse systems
 Evaluate, design, install, configure and support AMF’s server infrastructure
 Manage, automate, monitor and secure IT solutions
 Initiate, plan and implement projects across all business units
