Full-Time Insurance accountant
Job Description
Our Client is a large P&C brokerage located in the Vaughan area. They are seeking a junior level person to join the accounting team.
This is a permanent full-time position. Our Client is well established, well run & offer a good compensation package.
How to Apply
Responsibilities:- Preparation of Financial Statements
- Complete Monthly Spreadsheet Analysis for all Balance Sheet Accounts
- Complete Payment and Reconciliation of All Trust Payables.
- Assist in the Invoicing of Policies which is governed by special arrangements with Insurance Companies.
- Prepare and Post Non-Standard Journal Entries on a monthly basis
- Calculate projected cash flow requirements on a monthly basis.
- Review of RST monthly filings.
- Submit Financial Data to the Chartered Accounts at Year-End with all necessary back-up documents and schedules.
- Post all adjusting Entries and balance the General Ledger to Financial Statements.
- Prepare internal monthly Trust Position Reports and RIBO Trust Position reports for semi-annual or annual reporting.
- 2+ years’ experience with an Accounting position
- Exposure to Power Broker would be an asset.
