Job Description

The Consulting House Inc. is a 30-year old well established benefits and pension consulting firm with an exciting opportunity for an Employee Benefits Insurance Supervisor . We are seeking a candidate with broad knowledge of employee benefits, technical and underwriting skills for mid to large size employers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and service support to the consulting team
  • Negotiate premium rate agreements with insurance providers
  • Improve workforce efficiency with regards to renewal reports and client proposals
  • Conduct marketing surveys and produce client reports
  • Supervise the business development team; provide training and assistance where necessary
  • Prepare quarterly experience reports by generating and reviewing detailed claims reports and identify claims trends.
  • Review, analyze and prepare financial reports. Will also be required to verify accuracy of reports done by colleagues.
  • Evaluate the cost and design competitiveness of client benefit plans
  • Prepare, and coordinate presentations for clients; participate in client meetings
  • Review and analyze benefit plan contracts, booklets and documentation
  • Handle day to day client inquiries regarding coverage, and claims issues

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in group benefits, group insurance, administration, compensation and benefits or underwriting
  • Strong focus on client service and client relations
  • Accurate mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, project management, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized, ability to take the initiative and work independently
  • Completion of LLQP Exam
  • French comprehension required
  • Demonstrate strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Develops new business. This position will also be responsible for identifying potential new business opportunities to achieve growth targets. Primary focus of this role is consulting and account management, with a secondary focus on new client growth.

Job Type: Full-time Permanent Position, 30 hours a week

Salary: $44,000.00 /year
