Job Summary:

The Director of Marketing will lead the marketing placement for new and key renewals of Commercial Lines mid-market to large commercial accounts by establishing objectives, goals, and strategies that support the plans, vision and values of Integrity, competency and empathy.

This leadership role supports Commercial Producers to assist in strengthening their closing positions on new business and strategically strengthening their positions on renewals that are under attack or competitive pressure.

Key areas of responsibility 

  • Market Key Accounts
  • Build Strong Relationships with Insurance Markets
  • Team Building with Managers and Staff
  • Communication: Key with Producers/ Account Managers/ Insurance Markets
  • Mentor Producers
  • Projects/Initiatives

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Education and Licenses:
    • University Degree in Business or equivalent work experience
    • RIBO License
    • Valid Drivers License
    • CIP designation and or CAIB designation (preferred)

 

  • Special Skills/Knowledge:
    • Strong Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
    • Positive attitude
    • Self-directed and passionate about the business
    • Strong Interpersonal and collaboration skills
    • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

    • Proficiency in use of Windows based PC and Microsoft Office software
    • Adaptable to learning industry based software for broker management
    • Proficiency in use of Excel spreadsheet software

  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum of five years prior experience in broker or insurance company management environment, preferably as a commercial underwriter

 

  • Must be flexible to travel between branch offices and Company offices as required.
