Full-Time Corporate Sales Manager

Our Client a large successful brokerage firm is seeking an individual to join their management team. In business for over 30 years and ranked one of the top Brokers in Canada they are a multi-line Insurance brokerage offering excellent benefits, room to grow along with strong managment support to all of their employees.

They are looking for an experienced Sales/manager type of person to join their team. Reporting to the President. The person we need is an experienced sales management leader who will coach, mentor and lead the current team of 12 Producers and who will have the ability to recruit 2-3 top notch producers per year who have experience in the mid to large account space. They will need to develop sales team leaders (we have one already) to facilitate scaling the team significantly, moving forward. We have a very strong Group Benefits/Pension Sales Manager who this individual will work closely with as we are a multi-disciplined shop with a whole account’ approach to selling.

Responsibilities:

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Reinforce a client first culture, actively train, coach and motivate Commercial Producers so they meet or exceed their individual production goals so the brokerage meets or exceeds its overall production goal
  • Be accountable to drive team sales success through results-orientated sales management and ongoing coaching activities, sales system training and execution, targeted to develop overall team sales success
  • Apply Performance Management through regular reviews, joint field sales calls, sales routines, ongoing coaching discussions, performance enablement, CRM pipeline management, development plans and assessments
  • Ensure sales force capability through building necessary skills/competencies/accreditations to meet market needs, including knowledge of brokerages partners for referral success
  • Take the initiative to keep informed of current events, market news and internal information on applicable internal sites
  • Actively assess and recruit new talent
  • Represent brokerages within the community, demonstrating leadership and focus on attracting new business opportunities and increasing likeliness to recommend through existing client referrals
  • Be a role model to instill the brokerages Sales Culture throughout the organization.

Key Skillsets and Strengths:

  • Sales leadership, people management and results oriented sales management experience
  • Progressive industry and general business experience with a focus on multi-line insurance in a sales capacity
  • Superior selling and sales management skills
  • Entrepreneurial / business developer mindset
  • Superior time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong people management skills; able to assemble and manage a new team of people

Qualifications:

RIBO license in good standing is required

5 +years experience in Commercial Lines

Experience with TAM (The Agency Manager) is an asset

Working towards CAIB and/or CIP is preferred. Personable, motivated, results oriented
