COMMERCIAL UNDERWRITER (Intermediate or Senior)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and underwrite commercial risks
- Negotiate pricing and terms
- Underwrite small enterprise as well as large complex accounts
- Underwrite manufacturing and contracting classes
- Underwrite risks with significant U.S. & international exposures
- Focus on sustainable profitable growth, while achieving new business objectives and maximizing retention of existing renewal book
- Maintain strong broker relationships
- Work closely with other specialty underwriters – E&O, D&O, Technology, Life Sciences
- Contribute to future product development
Qualifications:
- University/College Grad
- CIP or working towards
- At least 5 years of progressive Commercial Underwriting experience including CGL, Umbrella, Excess Lines
- Strong organizational, negotiating, planning and decision making skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to create positive and collaborative working relationships
