We are hiring for a Commercial Lines Supervisor in our Cambridge office.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will work closely with Cowan’s commercial lines team and insurance partners to develop marketing strategies for a wide variety of commercial lines clients. Primary duties will involve the negotiation of coverage terms and pricing to develop solid insurance options both in scope of coverage and competitiveness. Additional duties will include the development and management of relationships with insurance markets, attend industry events to stay current on marketplace trends and provide assistance to the department Manager and Director with respect to insurance product and technical matters.
Qualifications:
- Previous commercial insurance experience required
- RIBO License is required or ability to obtain RIBO
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic thinker with strong problem solving skills
- Attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently;
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced skills in MS Office
- Previous experience with TAM (The Agency Manager) is an asset
- CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards designation) would be an asset.
