Description:
The Manager of this department will be responsible to lead, direct, coach, train and provide technical guidance to a team of Commercial Marketing and Service professionals. You will be accountable to ensure an efficient and productive workflow, excellent quality control and service standards that our clients and internal professionals deserve. In conjunction with the management team and our insuring partners, you will assist with the development of business strategies and operating budgets.
You will also:
- Service a Book of Business
- Design, secure and deliver the best insurance program and provide expertise to our clients
- Prepare submissions, proposals, binders, certificates and other documentation including invoicing
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to manage, coach and guide staff; conduct performance appraisals; set goals and faciliate training
- Proven ability to implement, modify and adjust workflow procedures
- Through regular audits, be able to measure and assess quality control practices
- Have strong technical commercial insurance knowledge in the placement of all classes of insurance including specialty placements
- RIBO licence required, and other industry designations such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, would be an asset
Skills:
- A team player with strong work ethic
- Determination for excellence in quality control and client service
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Computer knowlege in MS Office products such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Experience with The Agency Manager (TAM) and Policy Works, would be considered an asset
