Job Description
We have a great opportunity for a Commercial Technical Assistant in Markham. This is an entry level position with great growth potential. An insurance background is preferred. A (R.I.BO.) license is not required. If you are looking to start your career in the insurance industry this is a great brokerage to learn, grow and excel!
Key Job Responsibilities:
Performs administrative tasks and/or operational support activities i.e. general correspondence, courier, photocopying, faxing, filing, and ordering supplies
Prepare bid/final bonds for approval
Follow-up and close out expired final bonds
Prepare binders for individual builders risk/wrap-up liability policies
Calculate under-run/over-run premium adjustments (and advise surety company)
Send out completion date letters to contractors
Issue certificates of insurance
Process endorsements
Invoice transactions
Complete confirmation certificates
Review condition of files, purge and set up new files as required
Prepare draft letters for clients for renewals, endorsements underwriting information
Account reconciliation
Assist with processing paper under the direction of Team Leader and CSB
RIBO REQUIREMENT ?
-not necessary to have RIBO at first
– grow into a junior account manager role
