Full-Time Commercial Lines CSR
Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial CSR to support their team. They have a nice open environment currently with five team members.
You would be the primary commercial support for 3 Commercial Lines producers, to process insurance documents and ensure that the data in our Power Broker management system is complete, accurate and up-to-date.
Essential Job Functions
- Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance including Liability, Automobile Leasing, Owned Contractor’s Equipment, Mortgagee and Tenant Certificates
- Work effectively with Power Broker and Excel in order to perform the following tasks:
– Assist in updating Summaries of Insurance for renewal, issuing proposals and Binders of Insurance
– Produce and update price comparisons
– Create renewal reviews including Outstanding Recommendations, Claims Review, and Additional Coverage(s)
– Request, check and invoice policy endorsements and renewal documents
- Handle own abeyances and assist with Account Executive’s abeyances
- Review prequalification & tender documents and issue appropriate pre-qualification letters
- Handle of renewal negotiations of small to medium sized accounts, including Builders Risks, Wrap Up Liability and other project specific policies
- Review leases in order to issue appropriate Tenant Certificate
- Review and analyze Certificates received by our landlord and contractor clients ensuring that they meet contract/lease requirements
- Attend renewal meetings and have the ability to comfortably communicate with clients & underwriters
- Perform other related administrative duties including assist in premium collection, prospecting and other assignments and special projects, as required
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- RIBO Licence
- Post-secondary education
- Office experience
- Working knowledge of commercial line products
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role
An Asset:
- CIP and/or CAIB designation
- Familiarity with Power Broker an asset
- Working knowledge of construction insurance products & coverages
- Working Knowledge of Compuquote, and personal lines insurance products
Skill Sets Required
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail Orientation with a focus on prioritization of tasks
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Self-motivation with ability to problem-solve with limited supervision
- Ability to analyze and make recommendations on appropriate solutions
