Full-Time Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Description
Primary Objective/Duties of position:
- Servicing on-going client needs, advising on insurance matters, assessing needs, recommending solutions, answering inquiries
- Quoting new business through existing clientele
- Contacting Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy
- Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications for new clients, issuing insurance certificates, processing changes, processing renewals
- Collecting payments, banking, invoicing
- Processing mail and faxes
- Keeping current on underwriting rules
- Renewal and care phone calls
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, Policy Works
- Excellent customer service skills
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment (multitasking & attention to detail)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Time management skills
- Able to work under pressure and deadline
Desirable or preferred qualifications:
- High School and/or Secondary Education
- Must be RIBO licensed
- CAIB or CIP an asset
- 2 years minimum experience
