Commercial General Liability Adjuster
Position Overview:
Our successful client is looking for a highly motivated individual to assume an adjuster role in a dynamic team environment, adjusting General Liability claims. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of General Liability claims handling experience and must be proficient in investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of claims. This is an examining (in-house) position with some travel required for mediations, pre-trial, and settlement meetings
What you will achieve in this role:
- Gathering all information and evidence relevant to commercial operations losses.
- Analysing various contracts and leases, medical and non-medical documents to process claims within proper guidelines
- Negotiation with third parties and/or their representatives
- Working closely with the control adjuster (if applicable), broker and customer on claims related issues
What you bring to this role:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of General Liability claims handling experience
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrated willingness for continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Office) is required
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- CIP designation completed or in progress
