Full-Time Commercial Account Manager (Small Business Unit)

Job Description

The Commercial Account Manager position assists the Commercial Lines department in meeting growth and service level objectives by solidifying client relationships, by providing superior customer service, updating client information, producing quality documents and providing support to the Producers as required.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Service commercial lines accounts, including but not limited to receiving phone calls, emails, faxes from clients and insurers regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems and complying with the request.
2. Seize on new business opportunities through internal leads.
3. Closing new business sales; upselling and/or Adding multi-lines of coverage to existing accounts
4. Maintain electronic files in an orderly, up to date manner.
5. Keep detailed records on all client activity in TAM accurately and on a timely basis.
6. Coordinate expirations to obtain renewal information.
7. Negotiate with insurers for renewal premium and coverage changes.
8. Prepare account summaries and renewal presentations as required including premium financing option with finance provider for all renewal premiums less than $10,000.00.
9. Assist Producers(s) and other departments in cross selling, up-selling and account rounding.

Qualifications:

1. 3-5 years’ brokerage experience as a Commercial Account Manager
2. RIBO license in good standing required.
3. Proven above average written and verbal communication
4. Working knowledge of Agency Manager (TAM) is an asset
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and timely follow-up on uncompleted tasks
8. Demonstrated success working in a fast paced and electronic file environment
