Full-Time Commercial Account Manager

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a strong team-player, motivated, and must love their career! The ability to stay focused and positive in fast paced environment is a must. RIBO License required, and preference will be given to those pursuing professional designations. A minimum of 4 years brokerage experience in commercial/personal lines required. SigXP/ComXP experience is an asset and working knowledge of company portals required. You will handle an assigned book of business and be able to offer excellent service to insurance clients.
Job Duties include but not limited to:

  • Servicing on going client needs, advising on insurance matters, assessing needs, recommending solutions, answering inquries
  • Ensuring clients fully understand policy coverage’s and exclusions through clear and concise communication
  • Retaining existing clientele through superior service levels, remarketing of renewals to alternate insurance companies, ensuring mono-line accounts are solicited for the other line
  • Ensure the quality of business written and retained meets underwriting guidelines
  • Quoting mono-line accounts for other line of business
  • Claims handling
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications, certificates, issuing binders
  • Account managing with extreme attention to detail
  • Assisting with payment inquiries, financing
  • Responsible for managing outstanding receivables
  • Processing incoming mail, email and faxes and attaching to client file
  • Utilize company portals and websites
  • Maintaining up to date electronic files
  • Keeping current on underwriting rules both in house and for individual companies
  • Manage suspense’s on a daily basis
  • Keeping current with updates in technology changes, BMS updates
  • Maintain required RIBO education hours
  • Build and maintain strong relations with Producers

• Strong ability to problem-solve difficult situations, and provide solutions
