Job Description
Working in Commercial Lines as Account Executive(s) Assistant. This role will focus on assisting Account Executive(s) in servicing a Commercial Lines Book of Business. The Book of Business consists mainly of Construction, Land Development, Home Building, Realty and Manufacturing accounts. The accounts are very active and eligible persons must be able to work in a fast paced environment at the same time pay attention to detail and organizational skills.
Essential Job Functions
1. Preparing and Issuing Certificates of Insurance: including Liability, Auto Leasing , Owned Contractor’s Equipment Mortgagee and Tenant Certificates
2. Must be able to work effectively with TAM and Excel in order to:
Assist in updating Summaries of Insurance for renewal, issuing proposals and Binders of Insurance.
Create and Update Price Comparisons
Create Renewal Reviews including Outstanding Recommendations, Claims Review, and Additional Coverage(s).
Requesting, Checking and Invoicing Policy Endorsements
Checking and Invoice Policy Renewal documents.
3. Handling of own abeyances and assisting in Account Executive(s) abeyances.
4. Review of Pre-qualification Documents and issue appropriate Pre-Qualification Letter
5. Ability to review leases in order to issue appropriate tenant Certificate and review and comment on Certificates received by our Clients (Landlords and Contractors) ensuing that they meet contract/lease requirements.
6. Perform other duties, assignments and special projects, as required
Qualifications
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree
RIB(O) licence is required
2 plus years of experience in similar role is required
Experience with The Agency Manager (TAM), and/or Compuquote
2 Year Insurance Program graduate an asset
Working knowledge of commercial line products, particularly in construction insurance an asset
Skill Sets Required
Technically proficient in operating systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Accurate data entry skills
Professional interpersonal, listening and communication skills; both verbal and written
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to problem-solve with limited supervision
A willingness to work cooperatively with internal team members
Detail-orientation with a focus on prioritization of tasks
Ability to analyze and make recommendations on appropriate solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities while remaining focused and attentive in the face of new situations and fluctuating workloads
Self-motivation with ability to work independently and assume accountability for outcomes
