Our client, a leading and innovative insurance company that prides itself on providing exceptional customer service, is looking for an experienced and personable Claims Manager to join their Vancouver team in the claims department.
The successful candidate will manage and oversee the property and casualty claims department and will provide a large amount of leadership which will in turn create effective and efficient work processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of claims department to achieve organizational goals
- Report on progress and daily activity
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are being followed
- Liaise with various stakeholders and other insurance professionals in the industry
- Act as claims authority and provide direction on insurance issues
- Conduct regular audits to ensure quality of service is maintained at all times
- Responsible for the hiring, mentoring and performance management of employees
Qualifications:
- University Degree or Diploma related to business is preferred.
- CIP designation or FCIP designation
- Minimum of 10 years of complex claims handling experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Focus on provide exceptional levels of customer service
- A passion for mentoring and training other staff members
- A strong technical skillset in auto, property, and liability
