Full-Time Claims Account Manager – Dedicated Account

Role Summary
The Account Manager is the primary day to day contact for the client on assigned accounts and monitors quality and workflow as well as provides technical direction to the adjusters working on such assigned accounts. Some claims examining will be required for this role.

The location for this position is flexible, it can be based at our Markham office or at our Mississauga office.

Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Responsible for the monitoring and collection of account receivable
  • Review all Adjuster billings for accuracy
  • Ensure interim billings are completed in accordance with the company’s and clients guidelines

File Quality / Customer Service

  • Respond to day-to-day client inquires
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as claims response times, abeyance, and customer service exceptions
  • Manage quality of account through Performance reports and Account Performance reports
  • Ensure quality standards are met by conducting file reviews – minimum 30 per month
  • Sign and review reports as required
  • Ensure client data integrity is maintained on account with respect to reserves and payments including loss and expe

Production

  • Meet personal production targets for Account Management administration and oversight and file examining

Technical Expertise and Support

  • Provide technical direction to Adjusters working on assigned accounts including file review feedback and direction on file completion

Sales and Client Interaction

  • Involved in client meetings (Insurer, Broker, Risk Manager) as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining up to date Client Claims Handling guidelines and set up instructions for assigned accounts

Resource Management

  • Involved in the process of selection of adjusters to assigned accounts.

Other

  • Responsible for the release and approval of drafts on trust account using authority provided by the client

Education, knowledge and experience required

  • University degree/college diploma preferred or combination of education and equivalent business experience.
  • CIP / FCIP designation or actively pursuing and/or nearing completion of same.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years claims adjusting experience
  • Must have technical expertise in examining property liability and contractual liability claims
  • Previous supervisory experience or providing direction/instruction is a definite asset
