Our Client in Ancaster is looking for a Commercial Lines Account Manager for their  Transportation Division.

JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent will provide exemplary customer service to an existing and growing book of Transportation clients.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: GENERAL CLIENT SERVICE: 1. As part of the “Transportation” team, and working with select Client Executive (“CE”), act as primary contact with Trucking clients also understanding for the automobile policy, cargo, customs bond etc.  For service issues and concerns during the life of the policy.   2. Process all billings and payments and maintain accounts receivable.. 3. Alert the CE and team to issues requiring action or communication with the client. 4. Using the online Certificate Generation system, prepare and/or review and approve and then  deliver Certificates of Insurance to relevant Certificate Holders.

NEW BUSINESS:  1. Issue Binder, certificates for named insureds and cover letter.  2. Review new policy received for accuracy, amend billing, and prepare cover letter for delivery.

RENEWALS:  1. At prescribed schedule prior to renewal, complete loss ratios, prepare coverage checklist and update schedule of insurance in preparation for a Team meeting at which accounts are reviewed for possible remarketing and to determine documents required for the pre-renewal visit.    2. If re-marketing, prepare client overview, and update incumbent insurer’s application incorporating new information from meetings.  3. Prepare underwriting submission for presentation to alternative and incumbent markets. 4. Use Marketing Manager for complex issues and marketing challenges. 5. Once Client Executive has secured binding instructions and order has been places, review policy received to ensure it conforms to binder and for continuity in wordings.   6. Review coverage forms, exclusions, conditions, and adequacy of limits.  7. Review and prepare cover letter for delivery.  8. Complete certificates and financing contracts within prescribed time frames.

QUALIFICATIONS  R.I.B.O. license required.
Minimum of 5 years P&C experience, .
Excellent computer skills required.
CAIB or CIP Designation or working towards
