Job Description
ADVISOR, BUSINESS INSURANCE Premium volume of $1.3MM
An effective daily support role as part of support team that is achieving revenue targets for the commercial lines of insurance
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (BASED ON THE ROLE PURPOSE)
- The timely processing for commercial insurance certificates and claims management triage.
- Administrative support of commercial lines activities including NSF cheques, inquiries, Accounts Receivables, Cancellations, Renewals and New Business.
- Comply with TSG policies, procedures and technology to support the commercial markets and clients.
- Maintain productive, focused and professional commercial client interactions
- Use TSG branded, professional external sales materials and documentation
- Clear, accurate, documented office procedures
- Responsive and professional conduct when handling of client feedback
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Being the point of contact for and completing the work associated with new and renewal business for selected accounts
- Key contact to assigned clients/insurance markets
- Identify opportunities to Account Round – gaps in coverage, additional lines, etc
- Handle accounts receivable for the clients assigned to you – this includes NSF’s and Cancellations for Non-Payment, etc
- Ensure quality risk selection and pricing to maximize underwriting profitability and increase market share.
- Network and establish solid connections within the community
- Develop and maintain a knowledge and understanding of company operations procedures and workflow requirements
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes
- Review and analyze policy coverage and claims experience of clients
- Have a good knowledge of TSG’s current contracted market appetites, binding authorities, specialties and wordings
- Complete required TSG education hours (8.3 monthly) by attending training sessions, webinars, completing reading material provided by management, attending Insurance Company seminars
- Participate in all TSG community events and function
SAMPLE JOB TASKS
- Respond to commercial client inquiries
- Obtain and document commercial lines client information
- Interface with Markets to process quotes for CL Sales Associates
- Process commercial lines documentation, populate template and triage claims management as needed
- Update the company BMS to record commercial client interactions
- Participate and support commercial marketing, coaching and training as deemed necessary
- Handles and resolves escalated CL client concerns
- Conduct meetings with CL sales team members
- Assist CL support team members in problem resolution
- Monitor CL sales process effectiveness
- Provide feedback to team members and Management
- Monitor and update the information on client interactions in the company BMS
