Personal Accident and/or Sports and Leisure

Burns & Wilcox Canada, part of the largest subsidiary of the Kaufman Financial Group, works through domestic insurance carriers and Lloyd’s of London to provide Canadian brokers with in-house risk binding and cross-border solutions for almost every type of hard-to-place commercial and liability risk.

OPPORTUNITY:

  • Attracts and solicits new business for an office or production team
  • Develop long standing relationships with brokers on a national basis
  • Effectively work with our company markets to provide our brokers and their staff product opportunities with Burns & Wilcox Canada based on the agencies location and needs
  • Identifies and qualifies prospective agencies
  • Networks with brokers
  • Listens, probes and identifies concerns to develop brand credibility, loyalty and trust
  • Accompanies individual Producers on new client visits and transitions relationships to Producers
  • Have excellent internal customer service skills, driven personality, positive attitude, highly professional conduct and strong business acumen

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 4+ years of Personal Accident and/or Sports and Leisure underwriting experience, preferably at an MGA or Insurance Company
  • CIP, CRM or equivalent preferred
  • Broker and market relationships an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and a good communicaton
