Bilingual Administrator

Comma Recruitment are looking for a Bilingual (French and English) Administrator, ideally with a background in benefits administration or Insurance administration /service

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Appraise and evaluate each New/Existing Lic. App./Renewal to ensure that agents comply with Insurance Regulations for each province in which he/she conducts business.
  • Must ensure that all requirements are met and processed (renewals & terminations) prior to deadlines to avoid penalties from Regulators. Consequences of not meeting Provincial Regulations range from monetary fines to having our Corporate License, in a given Province, revoked.
  • Handle complex, confidential and/or unique written or verbal inquiries from Departments of Insurance, other Insurance Companies, Government Agencies, Legal Corporations, internal departments, regional offices and staff.
  • Participate in special projects and attend meetings for same. Testing of new systems, system enhancements or new products.
  • Report system problems and deficiencies and participate in their resolution.
  • Set up commission rates and corporate table updates for changes or new products.
  • Handling of sensitive term for cause files, ensuring confidentiality and accurate reporting to the respective regulators. Act as liaison, collating reporting documentation and information between the Compliance Department, Regional Offices, Legal Counsel and Provincial Regulators, until the Regulator is satisfied and the file closed.
  • Maintain Outstanding Contractual Documents on TSO File, create and submit Easytrieve Programs; assist and review PC Input & Running Excel Programs for HRCs, LOAs on Benefit tracking.
  • Maintenance of Mainframe Files feeding compensation for all changes which requires evaluation & selection of appropriate Compensation Rate, based on interpreting multiple rates etc.
  • Creating, Updating and Maintaining Rate Table (Complex) and maintenance of other compensation tables.
  • Reporting system problems to IT, coordinating follow-up on IT service requests for the area and monitoring progress to resolution; testing new or updating existing systems all within a tight schedule as mandated by corporate and regulatory standards and training staff on new procedures.
  • Provide back-up to the Bonus & Assignment Control Administrative tasks as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • College Graduate
  • Must have 3 years’ work experience in similar roles, administration or service experience
  • Bilingual, English & French
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
  • Advanced use of Outlook
  • Typing and excellent verbal and written communication and follow- up skills
  • Must possess interpersonal and strong collaborative skills
  • Must input data accurately and be sensitive to maintaining confidentiality
  • Benefit administration or Insurance administration experience an asset
